I have been meaning to sign up to this all month ever since the announcement of this reading challenge. I am just about managing that by squeezing in my sign-up on the last day of January! The Year of the Asian Reading Challenge is being hosted by Vicky, Shealea, CW and Lily. You can find out more in the linked introduction posts from all of them.
YARC2019 is a year-long reading challenge with the goal being to read as many books by Asian authors as possible. I am always wanting to increase the diversity in my reading and I think a reading challenge is the perfect way to encourage myself to do that. Especially as I already own plenty of books that I can read for the challenge – I have included a list at the bottom of this post.
There are different badges for the six different levels. I am aiming for the giant panda as its just so cute! This level is 31-40 books which means I need to read 2-3 books a month for the rest of the year as I only managed one in January.
I will update this post monthly with the books I have read for the challenge and you can also follow my progress on my dedicated YARC2019 Goodreads shelf.
